Less than 100 days to Disney World?
There are less than 100 days until Mom and I hit the road for Disney World, so I wanted to share where you should be at this point in your trip planning if you’re about to hit that same milestone. Remember: Disney World planning is a marathon, not a sprint!

You’ve booked your dining reservations.
If you’re staying at a Disney World resort, make sure you’ve booked your dining reservations! You can do this starting at 180 days out from your trip, so if you haven’t done this yet, you might find yourself a little behind. More popular restaurant reservations, like Be Our Guest, might already be full.
Don’t despair! Keep looking regularly and refreshing the window up until the week of your vacation. People tend to book more than they need and cancel closer to their vacation. So, you still have a chance! But get that done soon.
You’ve arranged your plans for transportation to and from Disney World.
If you’re at less than 100 days to Disney World, you should know if you need to book a flight or if you plan on driving to Disney World. If you still need to book a flight… do it now! I’ve used Hopper before to alert me to low-cost flights, and this is a fine option. (Although I do not recommend booking through the app.)
You’ve got a general idea of your itinerary in the parks.
I do not feel like you need to know where you’re going to be in every waking moment, but at the 100-day mark, I recommend having a general idea of what park you’re going to visit on which days!
Knowing this will make it easier come FastPass selection time (which is 60 days from your trip). Plus, if you’ve already booked dining reservations, you’ve done some of the heavy lifting for yourself. Make sure to plan time to rest!
You’ve started breaking in your shoes.
If you’re counting down , it’s time to make sure you are breaking in your park shoes – or, better, they’re already broken in! Do not, please, buy new shoes in the next 3 months and plan on wearing them to Disney World!
I can’t recommend enough bringing a few pairs of already broken in shoes for your trip. You have never done walking like this!
Don’t forget my favorite planning resource…
If you have a trip coming up, make sure you have a copy of my Disney bible! I can’t recommend the Unofficial Guide enough. I get a new copy every year and read it cover to cover. This guides so many of my FastPass, dining and general planning decisions every year, and I recommend it to everyone.
